Citizenship Classes

CRIT has consistently offered free citizenship test preparation classes at our office since 2007. Students in the class benefit from learning the government and civics concepts covered in the citizenship test as they practice their reading, writing, and speaking skills. CRIT has been fortunate to have devoted volunteers who teach the classes each week.

CRIT is currently offering Citizenship Classes during the following times:

Fridays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

For students who prefer classes in the evening, CRIT recommends attending the Nashville Adult Literacy Council's free classes held at the CWA Cayce Learning Center, which is located at 522 South 5th Street, Nashville, TN 37206. For more information regarding those classes call Patty Swartzbaugh at (615) 891-7685.

Our results:

  • Since 2007, 67 individuals have attended our citizenship test preparation classes!
  • Of the 34 individuals who reported their citizenship test results, 30 passed the test, which translates to an 88% pass rate for our students.

Please drop by or call (615) 366-6868 for more information about citizenship test preparation classes.
